In 1990, Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman created Assassins, a musical about the nine men and women who have attempted--both successfully and unsuccessfully--to assassinate U.S. presidents, from John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald. In this special episode, we're joined by three Sondheim buffs to talk about why the musical has remained both popular--and controversial--since it opened.
