Today, we're joined by best-selling author Margalit Fox to talk about Fredericka "Marm" Mandelbaum, who rose to the top of New York's underworld in the1860s and '70s as a criminal fence and financial backer of bank burglaries. Earlier this year, Fox published a biography of the crime boss, titled The Talented Mrs. Mandelbaum, which you will most assuredly enjoy if you like this podcast.
